The Scuba Diver course is the official SSI certification for those who want to learn to dive with real training but have less time than for the Open Water Diver. In just two days you will complete the theory, confined water practice and 2 open water dives. Once finished, you will receive your international certification to dive down to 12 metres alongside a professional.

The Scuba Diver is the official SSI entry-level diving certification for those who want real training but have limited time. It allows you to dive down to 12 metres alongside a professional instructor, anywhere in the world.
It covers approximately half of the Open Water Diver programme. When you want to extend your certification, you simply complete the remaining modules — without repeating what you have already done.
At Pro Dive we deliver it under the SSI programme, one of the most widely recognised training systems internationally. The certification you receive is permanent and accepted worldwide.
In 2 days you leave Lanzarote with the SSI Scuba Diver certification. 2 real dives on volcanic reefs, groups of maximum 4 people and zero stress.
The Scuba Diver combines three phases in just two mornings. Each stage prepares you for the next.
Before getting in the water you access the SSI study materials in digital format. You complete them at your own pace, from your phone or computer, in English. It covers the fundamentals of diving: underwater physics, equipment handling and safety procedures.
With the theory done, we move to a shallow area where you practise the core skills: buoyancy control, equipment handling and underwater communication. With groups of maximum 4 people, the instructor has real time to focus on you.
The two open water dives are the heart of the course. You will complete them on the reefs of Lanzarote, guided by an SSI instructor with experience in these waters. From Costa Teguise we have direct access to dive sites with volcanic rock formations, good visibility and marine life characteristic of the Canary Islands.
The SSI Scuba Diver course in Lanzarote includes everything you need to get certified: e-learning, confined water practice, 2 dives on the volcanic reefs of the Atlantic and SSI certification processed. No hidden costs.
Equipment is included.
All you need to do is show up.
No extra rental fees or surprises in the final price.

Pro Dive Lanzarote has over 590 reviews on Google with a rating of 5.0 stars. Many started exactly like you: with just a couple of free days and a curiosity about whether diving was for them. They left with their Scuba Diver certification and the desire to come back for the Open Water.

The dive instructors were very friendly and knowledgeable. It was my first time diving and they made me feel very safe. We saw lots of fish, an angel shark, an octopus and a cuttlefish.
It is an official SSI certification, permanently valid worldwide. It is not a try dive or a one-off experience: it is a real qualification that allows you to dive down to 12 metres alongside a professional at any SSI or PADI centre on the planet.
The Scuba Diver covers approximately half of the Open Water Diver programme. It is completed in 2 days with 2 dives and certifies you to dive down to 12 metres always with a professional. The Open Water Diver is completed in 3 days with 4 dives and allows you to dive independently down to 18 metres. If you have the time, the Open Water is the complete option. If you only have two days, the Scuba Diver is a real certification you can build on later.
Yes. The Scuba Diver is designed for exactly that. When you want to extend your certification, you simply complete the remaining Open Water modules — without repeating what you have already learned. You can do it with us on a future visit to Lanzarote or at any SSI centre in the world.
No. The course starts from scratch. You only need to be able to swim and have a reasonable level of general fitness. If you have already done a try dive with us, you will feel more comfortable from day one — but it is not a requirement.
The minimum age is 10 years old. Under-15s receive the Junior Scuba Diver certification, with the same depth conditions but with the requirement to always dive accompanied by a certified adult.
Yes. The 290€ includes everything: SSI e-learning, confined water practice, 2 open water dives, full equipment (wetsuit, regulator, tank, BCD and dive computer), dive insurance and certification processing. No hidden costs.
The dives take place at selected sites from Costa Teguise, with volcanic reefs, good visibility and marine life characteristic of the Canary Islands. The instructor chooses the site based on the conditions of the day and the group's level to ensure the best possible experience.
